had to use picassa as my other software ran out, they look to me a bit washed out with not much detail in them, I will have to switch to jpeg until I can get the software again.
blimey you're shooting RAW ? wow I don't get on with RAW I find it so slow and tedious to do anything ?
I love Picasa - it's so fast and simple to make basic changes, plus it's great at organising the photos in the first place. And the brilliant thing is it stores the changes in a database so that the original is untouched, meaning you can undo your edits or amend them later on. So you're not repeatedly saving a Jpeg file and losing quality. I've just got Elements 5 which I like for more complex editing but find the organiser hopeless in comparison.
Picasa and Raw is probably not a good combination which may have been why you thought the photos were a bit washed out
